Overview
This bow case and arrow quiver are adorned using glass trade beads and porcupine quills. The designs used in these adornments not only show the artistic aesthetics of the tribe, but also reveal the identity of the tribe as distinct from other tribes. The repetitive use of concentric squares, colors, and arrangement of designs identify the owner of these items as Southern Cheyenne. Some tribal members marked their arrows to indicate that they belonged to a particular tribe.
