Judith Lowry, an Indigenous artist from California, witnessed the harms suffered by Indigenous communities when casinos opened on tribal lands. She produced this painting to express the greed and corruption that casinos have brought to Indigenous communities and as a memorial to a cousin, who was murdered for exposing casino corruption.
