The motif of stepped pyramid devices embellished with triangular notches observed on one of the baskets is known as the “foot mark.” The other basket features a graphic lightning motif. Elizabeth Hickox, the creator of these baskets, was renowned for her exquisite weaving skills. Her daughter, Louise, is also a celebrated basket weaver, continuing the Indigenous tradition alongside her mother.
