This painting depicts a ceremony held by the San Ildefonso people, who reside in the Southwestern United States, to celebrate the harvest. In the middle of the painting are offering baskets and a rug symbolizing harvested crops. The women surrounding them conducting the ceremony are dressed all in black, but blankets with diverse colors and designs are draped over their shoulders.
